The last week hasn’t been what you would call ideal conditions . With a system moving in from the West early in the week. We have been dealing with high winds and low tides. Even though the weather has been uncooperative we have been catching fish ,RED FISH Its been a week of fishing hard with good rewards. Things are settling back down and the tide is back to normal. Yesterday we had 16 reds . I wanna thank everybody that has fished with me this week . Its been a fun week and I’ve enjoyed fishing with y’all. Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr. Mark and his son Matt from Alberta Canada. This would be there first red fishing trip and the first fish we caught was an 8lb red fish . Nice way to start the trip. As the day went on the bite was slow with 9 keeper reds 3 bass ,3 trout and a lot of 15″ red fish that were just under size we had a fun day on the water . This weekend I had the pleasure of having some good friends down from Arkansas again . Every year they come down fish a couple of day we go to the crawfish cook off and have a good time. And this year wasn’t any different. We fished 2 days in the shallow water with artificial and caught some good red fish. There wasn’t anything fast about it but the bite was steady . With most of the fish in the 17-22″ range we did hook up to the occasional 25-30″ fish .The trout are starting to show up and with the nice weather in the forcast im sure there wi With good fishing and good company what more could a guy ask for. If you’ve never fished New Orleans at this time of year you don’t know what your missing . Fishing has been good and Ive been doing doubles for the last 4 days .Today I had off but back at it again tomorrow if the weather permits . The weather has been the main issue but it hasn’t stop us from catching red fish . For the most part the fish have been 16-24″ but I had a few fish in the last week that went 8-10lbs With the winds and the increasing winds we have been catching fish with market shrimp under a cork. The water is stirred up , the fish are there just need to get a stink cricket out there for em. Hopefully the rain stays to the north tomorrow and I can get out to fish . The weekend is pretty busy and I’m looking forward to it . Then I have a couple days off (for Now). Its been a fun week . I fished every day but wed and have been catching limits of 17-22′ red fish . We have been fishing some shallow ponds in the marsh most of the week due to the wind . Other than a lil wind some days the weather has been perfect and the fish have been frisky. I had the pleasure of enjoying these good fishing trips with Mr. Bill ,Ashton and Drew from Tennessee . Louisiana fishing charter fans are probably wondering why we haven’t posted lately.

Its been a while since I last posted a report and I’m sorry for that . I have been fishing quite a bit . We had a lil down time with Tropical Storm Lee pushing some water up and flooding the town I live in . Not a lot of water but just enough to flood the streets in the low areas. If you have never fished down here in south Louisiana after a hurricane or tropical storm you don’t know what your missing. The storms push salt water in and turns up the gulf so the fish push into the inland waters that we fish and its non stop action. The red fish have been schooled up and they are nice ones between 20-27″ The weather has taken a turn for the better the humidity is dropping and so has the temp. New Orleans fishing is at its best during this season.

The fish have moved out of the big lakes and bays and are in the marshes and bayous of Lafitte , Louisiana . I fished Wednesday of last week , Saturday , Sunday 2 boats and yesterday. I have been having some really fun customers and exciting fishing trips . We have been fishing in shallow water ponds with gold weedless spoons and catching good numbers of red fish. The bite has been early but we still catch fish through out the day . August is here and the heat has set in . As long as there is a light breeze or a lil cloud cover its comfortable . The trout have moved out of the area but they will be back soon . Thanks to every one who has fished with me in the past week and I’m looking forward to fishing with the customers I have in the books for the up and coming trips.

Its been a busy week of fishing for me .Ive been on the water 6 out of the last 9 days and the fish have been biting. Catching good number of reds and specks . The reds have been in the average of 16-22 ” with some coming in over 25″ . The specks have been 12-18 ” fish and have been catching 50 -100 in a lil while . 6-26-11 RED FISH AND SPECKLE TROUT IN LAFITTE LOUISIANA

This weekend has been action packed down in south Louisiana . I fished Mr. Jordan, Mr. Levi , and Mr Tracy from Baton Rouge . It was a good day of fishing nothing hot and heavy but steady . We had a few t-storms most of the day but it didn’t stop these guys from wanting to keep going . Just rain no lightening . We ended the day with 12 reds 9 drum and 2 flounders. Saturday I had the pleasure in helping a friend with a trip that was a bachelor party . These are always fun . Blake , RW, and Brody from Texas had the time of their lives . We got on the water and the winds were calm and the trout were biting. After a fun of day of fishing we cleaned 85 trout. These guys knew how to fish and have a good time. Today I fished Mr. Louis his wife Andrea , son Manny and Dad Mr. Louis winds were calm and the trout were biting but not like the day before. we boxed 31 trout 4 reds and a drum . I enjoyed fishing with everybody its always a new adventure every trip out. Thanks guys .
