Happy Mardi Gras !! Yep its that time of year again. Seems like just yesterday we were saying Happy New Year . Now here we are and the month of January is gone . January is always a slow time of year for us . Not because the fishing isn’t good but because the holidays just ended ,its tax season and well its can be a little chilly. That doesn’t stop some from coming to fish a Nawlins good time though .
With the water temps staying in the 40’s and 50’s we have been putting most of our efforts toward the red fish and not the speckle trout . When the water is as cold as it has been the reds tend to school up in deeper water. It can be tough finding the school sometimes but when you do its pretty good fishing.
I want to thank everyone who came out and braved the conditions with me this January. It hasn’t been ideal conditions sometimes but y’all put your faith in me and made the best of it. I never guarantee fish but I always guarantee 100% of my effort to make your fishing charter the best that I can. I look forward to fishing with everyone again someday.
