We are not flooded here in New Orleans. Our prayer go out to all that are effected with the recent flooding here in south Louisiana. I want to thank everyone who has called me in the last couple days with their concerns of my families safety. Fortunately the New Orleans area as well as south of it here in Lafitte haven’t been effected by the floods that most of you are seeing through your news feeds and social media. The areas that are flooding are north and west of us. Please keep the flood victims in your prayers. It will be a long road to recovery for a lot of people but down south we don’t give up and we always bond together to help everyone back on their feet. Although the rains have held us back from fishing a couple days , we’ve fished through some of it as well. Still catching red fish and black drum . The weather has kept us from venturing out for the specks but they’re still there waiting for us.
Thanks to everyone who stuck it out with me and faced the odds of Mother Nature the past week . Its been mostly rain in the evenings with a couple of days of running from the thunderstorms all day . Still catching fish but a lot of running and dodging weather those days . We’ve made the best of it. It looks like the rain is done for a while now and we can get back to business as usual.
